Hello, Hallee Bridgeman!
I hope you had an amazing Thanksgiving.
November was such an eventful month! On the 11th, Gregg and I flew to Grand Rapids, MIchigan and had lunch with several members of my team at Revell Publishing. That was such an amazing experience and such a great conversation! I'm really looking forward to the release of the Love and Honor series in September!
That evening, we attended the Serious Writer's 2021 Award Dinner, and it was announced that Alexandra's Appeal won for the 2021 BOOK OF THE YEAR! It was such an honor to receive that award.
From there, Gregg and I flew to Las Vegas, where we met up with our children. It was the first family vacation all five of us have enjoyed together in six years! We saw shows and acts and toured a ghost town in the desert and did interactive events. It was an incredible trip, but the highlight was having both of our sons baptized by our dear friend who pastors a church in Las Vegas. It was incredible.
We got home the weekend before Thanksgiving in time to gear up for the holiday weekend. Sunday night began Hannukah, which has made our boys very excited because it started a full two weeks earlier than it did last year. I'm enjoying the idea of it being separated by weeks from Christmas.
In the midst of all of our activity, I revamped my website. You can see the new digs at http://www.halleebridgeman.com.
My annual Christmas Christian Fiction Scavenger Hunt begins on Monday, December 6th! Watch your email for the announcement! First prize will be a $250 Amazon gift card, 2nd place prize will be a $150 Amazon gift card, and third place will be a $100 gift card. I'll award them a week from Monday (the 13th) so you have time to do some awesome Christmas shopping.
Last month I asked what was special about your hometown. I got so many incredible responses - and not a small amount of story ideas! I decided to file away all of those emails and pull them out as I seek inspiration for a new series or location. The winner of any one of my books in your desired format is Laura at laura**lger@yahoo.com! If this is you, email me with your book choice!
This month, I'd love to know your favorite Christmas decoration. I asked that question once several years ago and really enjoyed the responses. Because I have so many new readers on my list, it's safe to ask again. I'd love to see pictures! One responder will win any one of my books in your desired format. Here is mine. It's my village of Bethlehem. I love it so much. https://youtu.be/35XjD4-l6tU
I want to take this time, coming out of the Thanksgiving week, to tell you how much I appreciate you being part of my writing world. I value your presence on my list and look forward to hearing from you whenever I ask my questions or send our queries.
Read on to see if you're the winner of this month's $25 Amazon gift card!

In every book I write, even my shorter novellas, I have a series of discussion questions designed to provoke thought: either to bring my reader closer to God, to inspire self-examination, or just to inspire encouragement and/or consideration. Here is a question from Temperance's Trial.
Marie is a deeply spiritual person who relies on prayer in all avenues of her life. She continually prays for protection while in Occupied France; however, she’s arrested, beaten, interrogated, and humiliated.
Why do you think God doesn’t always come to the ‘rescue’ of Christians even when their very well being is at stake?
