Delicious Fudge

Delicious Fudge

This is my grandmother's fudge recipe. We look forward to it every Christmas. My family has been making it for five decades, and will be making it for many many more decades to come.

Ingredients

  • 4½ cups sugar
  • 1 large can evaporated milk
  • ⅓ cup coconut oil
  • ⅓ cup butter
  • 1 12-ounce package chocolate chips (dark chocolate works as well as milk chocolate)
  • 2 cups marshmallow creme
  • 1-2 cups nuts, depending on taste and preference (I use walnuts)
  • butter for pan

Method

  1. Mix sugar, milk, coconut oil, and butter in a good metal pot. Bring to a rolling boil (a rolling boil is a boil that does not stop when you stir it). Boil for 6 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in marshmallow creme and chocolate chips. Stir until melted. Add nuts.
  3. Pour into a buttered 13x9 pan.
  4. Refrigerate.
