Turkey Burgers with Basil Mayonnaise
I didn’t used to like ground turkey, but I came across some ground turkey breast on a manager’s special and thought I’d give it another go. After much searching, I found this amazing recipe, tweaked it a bit here and there, and it is a WONDERFUL sandwich on whole wheat buns.
Crock Pot Turkey Breast with Cranberry Pomegranate Sauce
Pom Wonderful asked me to come up with some pomegranate recipes. I had a turkey breast in the freezer and a bag of cranberries in the fridge, so I thought I would see what I could come up with.
White Chicken Enchiladas
I “stole” this recipe off of Pioneer Woman’s website. When I made it, I used less heat than her, but I have two toddlers to feed and a heat sensitive tween. I’m listing the ingredients as she listed them, and you can add or remove the peppers and chilies as you need to.
Root Beer Barbecued Beef Sandwiches
We don’t eat pork, so this is the perfect substitute for a “pulled pork” sandwich. I use organic root beer which has no HFCS and uses actual roots like sassafras so it’s really tasty.
BBQ Grilled Salmon
This dish always reminds me of summer evenings in my grandparents’ backyard. Grandpa would have line caught salmon on the grill and garden fresh corn on the cob, and Grandma would cover the picnic table with a red and white checkered tablecloth.
Kentucky Style Hot Brown
The Brown Hotel in Louisville, Kentucky is a 5 star establishment with a 7 star reputation for really incredible dishes. This is a traditional Kentucky turkey sandwich whose name is a nod to that fine establishment.
Terrific Turkey Pot Pie
I love pot pie. There’s just something really comforting about cracking open the pie crust and getting that first fragrance of wholesome, healthy goodness. The textures and the flavors are such a delight. PERFECT comfort food.
Kentucky Kreamed Turkey
This is a wonderful and traditional Kentucky turkey recipe with origins in Northern Kentucky. It can be served with brown rice, whole grain toast Hot Brown style, puff pastry shells, or any of your own favorite foundations. Try serving it over leftover dressing for a really yummy Thanksgiving rewind.
Family Favorite Steak and Gravy
This meal is a favorite of everyone in my family, and is so simple and SO economical. Your family will lick their plates.
