I talked a little bit about Scott in Seeing the Negative Space, and explained that we did not want to put Scott through testing and assessments just to get a “label” to slap on him. But, it appeared that despite what we didn’t want, if we wanted him to get an education at this school, as we felt led to do, we had to do just that.
Re-Writes
It wasn’t so hard to re-do the first half of the book. The mystery and intrigue plot just needed a little bit of refining. I did need to incorporate the things I’ve learned about police procedure and such over the last fifteen years. But, all in all, tt wasn’t too bad. The relationships needed a little bit of help, but it was okay. I breezed through seventeen chapters in two days (about 8 hours) of writing.
Who Would Play Tony & Robin?
Whom would you cast as your Hero & Heroine if your book became a movie?
Hours a Day
Starting this week, I will have six hours a day, three days a week that will be focused solely on book writing. The other two days of the work week will be spent blogging on my two blogs. That is giving me 18 hours a week to write – eight more hours a week – of alone writing time. I haven’t spent more than an hour or two alone for years. I am so excited to see what kind of productivity I can accomplish in this designated writing time.

My Office
I think all of my years in corporate America has my mind conditioned to where I’m more productive and where I’m not. I’ve tried writing at the dining room table, and I’ve tried sitting on my couch and working, but I have always worked best at my desk. That’s one of the reasons that makes it hard to work when it’s just me and the boys. My office is removed from the rooms where they’re more likely to play, and I’m not very comfortable with that.

Interview: Matthew R. Horn
In my world of romance writers, it’s so refreshing to have a guest on my blog who is a man and who writes a different kind of story. The one he talks about in this interview is about a masked vigilante, a hero, the war internally and externally between good and bad. I am excited …
