This recipe is so easy to make, and is such a beautiful side dish to almost any sandwich. We love this kind of side for our game night dinners when we tend to go with Turkey Burgers or Root Beer Barbecued Beef Sandwiches.
Perfect Baked Oatmeal
This is a wonderful breakfast dish if you have a lot going on, especially during the holidays. It’s something you can set out and your family can help themselves.
Honey Spiced Pears
Some friends of ours have a pear tree that overwhelms them with abundance every year, and this year that turned into two laundry baskets full of pears for me. I am always on the search for real food canning recipes that cut out the processed sugar used as a preservative in anything using fruit, and I was thrilled to find this recipe.
Purple Monster Fruit Smoothie
This is a great smoothie for breakfast, and sometimes dinner! If you are not fasting or looking for a strict vegetarian smoothie, you can substitute the orange juice with any mix of juices or even an even split of whole milk and plain yogurt.
Energizer Smoothie
I love smoothies. Almost every smoothie I make is yogurt-based. I enjoy that this one is a vegan recipe, so I can drink it when I’m doing a Daniel Fast or when I’m just not in the mood for dairy.
Homemade Frozen Fruit Pops
We’ve had several days recently where the temperature has climbed toward 110°, so I wanted to find a way to cool the kids off. It was easy! Pick whatever fruit you think will go well together. I made strawberry kiwi and raspberry nectarine.
Stove Top Quick Skillet Green Beans
Kaylee does not like soft green beans. She likes hers cooked al dente with garlic and onion. This is a “quickie” with garlic powder and onion powder.
Quick & Easy Turkey Pot Pie
This is the re-make of a recipe that called for processed food. Instead of cream of chicken soup and biscuit mix, I made everything from scratch, and it was DELICIOUS, QUICK, and EASY. I had all of the elements put together in 10 minutes, and dinner was on the table 30 minutes later.
Very Unordinary Chunky Vegetarian Chili
If you are entertaining mixed palates, this meal will satisfy all tastes. A from-scratch chili that uses many different vegetables as well as beans and lentils to provide that ‘full’ feeling that chili with meat offers. The lack of dairy or meat in this chili makes it a perfect meal during a Daniel Fast or Lent.
Slow Cooked Kidney Beans
It is hard to find a good bean recipe that doesn’t contain pork of any kind. Even buying canned beans, you have to read the label carefully to make sure that it’s pork-free. It’s nice to find a slow cooked bean recipe that is just beans and seasoning.
